RFCs

Design decisions in RegelRecht are documented through RFCs. Each RFC captures the problem, the considered alternatives, and the chosen approach.

See RFC-000 for the process and template. An accepted RFC is not rewritten: a changed design gets a new RFC, and the old one is marked superseded.

The position paper Rules as Executed sets out the constitutional case behind these decisions: why law execution should be published, and what that demands of the format. Individual RFCs link to the sections that bear on them.
